What is Mineral Title Research?
A public records search is conducted through county courthouse records tracking mineral ownership from the original owner of the property to present day. Through this research, a determination is made whether the mineral rights belong to the current surface owner or were reserved by previous owners in the chain of title, possibly dating back 100 years or more.
